‘All Things Natural’ Serves Up Veggie Cooking Demos, Kids Crafts and Frozen Chocolate Bliss

It started with a search for a treat that was healthier than some of the much-too-decadent treats that had become part of my routine. But it still had to involve chocolate. (Sigh.) Not so easy to find.

I’d learned long ago that trying to find local places offering affordable, plant-based foods and products can be challenging. (Not to mention adding DELICIOUS into that requirement list.) Then I discovered a little shop just a mile or so from my office that specializes in organic, vegan and gluten-free products.

Thanks to the owners of “It’s All Natural,” Central Ohio visitors and residents have a great resource for healthy foods and eco-friendly/organic items that won’t break the bank. The shop is located at 1360 Cherry Bottom Rd., at the southeast corner of Morse Rd. and Cherry Bottom. It features a wide variety of meatless items, home and personal care products, teas, condiments/spices, frozen items, snacks and more.

The store, which opened last year under the name Nature’s Path Market, will celebrate its one-year anniversary this Saturday, October 18 (11 am-3 pm) with the official name change (It’s All Natural!), plus vegetarian cooking demos, herbal crafts (provided by our friends at the Ohio Herb Education Center), sale pricing, food and product sampling and children’s activities—courtesy of Sunrise Animal Sanctuary (SAS).  [A portion of net sales that day will be donated to SAS].

The day that I stopped in to the shop, owner Lee Ng gave me a quick tour. I was impressed with the number of locally made products that the shop carries. Then we came to the original point of my visit … healthy treats. As we stood in front of the freezer section, Lee suggested DF Mavens 100% vegan and dairy free frozen dessert. But which flavor? “Chocolate,” she said without hesitation. Sold.

Oh.  My. Goodness. Let’s just say I’ll be going back very, very soon.
