One of the Gahanna OH Convention & Visitors Bureau’s most beloved seasonal traditions is the annual Holiday Character Breakfast. The 2015 event, sponsored by KEMBA Financial Credit Union, will be presented this Saturday, December 12 at a NEW location AND will include some fun new additions including a Secret Santa Marketplace for little ones to shop, and a mini-performance of Rapunzel by the amazing Columbus Children’s Theatre!
CenterPoint Church (620 McCutcheon Rd. Gahanna 43230) will serve as the location for the 2015 Breakfast, providing expanded event space and plenty of free parking. The event also will feature make-it-and-take-it holiday crafts, face painting, storytelling with the Columbus Metropolitan Library staff, a special meet-and-greet with holiday characters and the ALWAYS popular, catch-all-you-can-eat-pancake breakfast.
To create the BEST experience possible for families, 4 seatings are offered—one every 45 minutes, at the following times: 8:30 am, 9:15 am (SOLD-OUT), 10am, and 10:45 am. Seating is limited and sells out quickly. Be sure to get your tickets in advance and SAVE! Early bird tickets will be $12/Adult (ages 12 + up); $10/Child (ages 3-11) and children ages 2 and under are free. Tickets at the door will be $15/Adult ; $13/Child.
As part of the holiday tradition (and so as not to compete with our friends at Gahanna Parks & Recreation), we encourage families who attend the Holiday Character Breakfast to go visit Santa at the Ohio Herb Education Center (110 Mill St.) following our Breakfast. Since Santa is busy checking his list (twice) while meeting with little ones at the Herb Center in Gahanna, we don’t ask him to try to be in two places at once. But the Breakfast will be filled with Santa’s elves and costumed friends, representing the North Pole with an abundance of smiles and hugs.
Don’t forget to bring a toy donation! The Gahanna Jaycees will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for help support the US Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Program! (Cash donations also will be accepted.) All donations will go to underprivileged children in Central Ohio.
